Hyderabad: Cash rewards for waste segregation

Hyderabad: You can now segregate wet and dry waste and win cash from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. The civic body has announced a lucky draw across its circles and one Ms. M. Naseema from the Vambay colony at Rajendranagar circle has already won a gift for her efforts. Officials say the Rajendranagar circle of GHMC has registered 80 per cent door-to-door waste collection.

GHMC worker R. Ravi, was given a cash award of Rs 10,000 for regular door-to-door collections. The GHMC says that every month, across the city, it will award households and GHMC auto rickshaw drivers with cash for proper wet and dry waste segregation.
