Missing techie: CBI probe sought High Court

The High Court on Thursday issued notice to the state government in this regard.

Talking to reporters here CBI spokesperson Abhishek Dayal said after the note ban was announced, the agency managed to expose Rs 396 crore of alleged slush funds in 84 cases registered by it relating to illicit currency exchange that took place after the move.

BENGALURU: The father of a techie, who went missing since December 18 when he had gone to show his car to a prospective buyer, has approached the High Court seeking transfer of the case to CBI.

The High Court on Thursday issued notice to the state government in this regard.
The tech, Kumar Ajitabh (29), had reportedly gone to meet the buyer, who had approached him through the e-commerce website OLX.

After he went missing his friends and roommates had registered a missing complaint with Whitefield police station on December 20.

A senior official said that the HC has asked the police to submit the status report on Monday.

In his writ petition, Ajitabh's father Ashok Kumar Sinha has expressed unhappiness over the way the state police was investigating the case.
