Thrissur: 3 SDPI men arrested for violence
The arrested were presented before the Kunnamkulam Magistrate on Friday.
Thrissur: Three SDPI men who allegedly stabbed four BJP workers at Vadanapally here during the hartal on Thursday were arrested by the local police on Friday. The incident had occurred at Ganeshamangalam near Vadanapally.
The arrested persons are Fisal, 40, and Moinudeen, 28, of Vadanappally Beach, Abdul Navaz, 45, of Kattoor and Fayis of Thalikkulam.
They were running a hotel and the clash with BJP workers was in connection with the opening of the hotel on the hartal day, the accused has told police.

Meanwhile, an unexploded petrol bomb was found in front of the RSS office in Guruvayur. Temple police is inquiring into the matter. RSS functionaries said that a team of CPM workers from other districts had reached the temple town on Wednesday to unleash attacks and they were behind the hurling of petrol bomb into the court yard of the RSS office.
In Thrissur, as many as 37 persons have been slapped with case for indulging in violence. According to the cops out of nearly 5,000 persons who took out protest marches 3,000 had indulged in violence.
In Palakkad, a total of 110 cases were registered on in connection with violence on hartal day in the South and North Police Stations.
