Hyderabad: The comic side of anti-CAA million march – LOL
So amusing some were that they were soon posted on social media and they were welcomed by netizens, who were ‘laughing-out-loud.’
Hyderabad: The million march call for Saturday seems to have brought out the creative side of the protesters.
Of the thousands who have assembled at Dharna Chowk, a few came up with some quirky and funny placards that caught the attention of one and all.
So amusing some were that they were soon posted on social media and they were welcomed by netizens, who were ‘laughing-out-loud.’
One placard read: ‘Hyderabad Foodies, even if you have never gone to a protest march in your life, make it to the Million March at Indira Park tomorrow. Varna zindagi bhar detention camp mein khana padega.’ Taking a more critical view, another wrote: Chai garam kar, Dimaag nahi (Heat the tea up, not our brains).
Another user came up with a slew of digital posters which read: ‘No Parking, No NPR, No NRC, No CAA’
Some young protesters carried placards reading ‘It’s so bad, I’m here with my parents.’
‘United we stand. Divided we fall. We demand one nation for all’ Another social media user compared the city’s protest to those held in other cities:
‘Bombay: We’ve held a 1.5 lakh strong protest against CAA,
Kochi: We’ve held a 5 lakh strong protest against CAA. Hyderabad: Hold my Beer-yani.’
