All India Sanskrit Students' Talent Festival-2019 begins

Tirupati: The 13th All India Sanskrit Students Talent Festival -2019 began on a grand note at the Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth in Tirupati on Monday, with many young people reaching the venue from every nook and corner of the country.
More than 380 students,representing different Shastras from 37 institutions in the country, have taken part in the festival, which is holding competitions in 13 academic activities and five cultural activities.
The festival was chaired by Vice-Chancellor of Vidyapeetha Prof. V. Muralidhara Sharma. In his presidential address, Mr Sharma appealed to the students to practice the principles mentioned in the Sanskrit texts.

Earlier, Dr. K. Srinivasa Rao, secretary of Sahithya Academy, New Delhi, inaugurated the fest, while another stalwart in Sanskrit and having proven track in police arena, Vachaspati Dr. K. Aravinda Rao, former DGP of Andhra Pradesh, addressed the audience and inaugurated Sanskrit Science Exhibition, which had a good response from the student community in Tirupati.
Meanwhile, the festival began with a welcome address by Prof. Ranis Sadasivamurthy, Dean Academic affairs and Registrar of Vidyapeetha, Prof. G.S.R. Krishnamurthy, co-coordinators Dr. S. Muralidhara Rao, Dr. Somnath Dash, Dr. Ch. Nagaraju and Prof. Sripada Bhat took part in the fest.
