Kalaburagi: DPR on 4-lane Bidar-Srirangapatna highway soon
Mr Revanna said once the DPR is prepared, it would be submitted to the Centre for getting the financial assistance for upgradation.
Kalaburagi: Public Works Minister H.D. Revanna said that soon steps would be initiated to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for converting the 608 km long Bidar-Srirangapatna state highway into a four-lane highway.
Speaking to the media here, Mr Revanna said once the DPR is prepared, it would be submitted to the Centre for getting the financial assistance for upgradation. This year, the PWD had sanctioned a grant of Rs 1,950 crores for works in the districts falling under the Kalaburagi Circle as against Rs 2,322 crores provided during the last five years, Mr Revanna added that directions had been issued for completing the ongoing works pertaining to SCP/TSP, NABARD etc by Februrary end.
“If officers fail, strict action would be taken against them”, he added. Regarding the second ring road proposed for Kalaburagi, he said it would be included in next years’s action plan.
