Have been 'mentally harassed' for questioning VC: AUSU president
I raised my voice against the anarchist approach being followed inside the university campus, says Richa.
Allahabad: Richa Sharma, the first woman president of the Allahabad University students' union, on Saturday alleged harassment by the administration and said that she was being targeted for questioning the vice-chancellor's conduct and the varsity's anarchist approach.
As per reports an inquiry was conducted against Richa following allegations that she got admission as a research scholar on a seat meant for the reserved category.
"The administration of the Allahabad University has been mentally harassing me for the last six months. Daily they are sending me notices and questioning my work. In tune with those unwarranted allegations, they are trying to send me out of the varsity. They are now questioning my admission procedure and stating that there are some irregularities in that," Richa said.
"But the fact is that due process was followed during my admission and there are no irregularities. If there are some irregularities, it is from the university's side," she added.
The Allahabad University students' union president also alleged that the varsity's actions were politically motivated, aimed at targeting her for questioning the vice-chancellor's conduct wherein he appointed a sexual-harassment accused as his OSD.
"They are targeting me because I raised my voice against the anarchist approach being followed inside the university campus," she said.
