Nellore: TTD training for pilgrim service
For those from North and North East visiting temple.
Nellore: In a bid to overcome the communication problem being faced by pilgrims from north and northeast parts of the country during their visit to Tirumala, TTD mulls over providing training to those volunteering from these states to serve the pilgrims similar to Srivari Sevakulu.
The EO invited the like-minded spiritual or service-offering organisations to depute their members willing to render service to pilgrims while offering training in pilgrim service during dial your EO programme held at Tirumala on Friday.
“There is some communication problem to volunteers and pilgrims from these parts. But we can overcome this language problem by utilising the services of volunteers from these states”, the EO observed.
A pilgrim caller Swamy Balakrishna from MP thanked the TTD for making elaborate arrangements for darshan, accommodation, laddu and anna prasadam to multitude of visiting pilgrims from the past several decades.
“In fact, we are all indebted to you. The temple of Lord Venkateswara has been attracting pilgrims from the past 25 centuries as the most sought after pilgrim centre of the world,” the caller said pouring accolades on TTD.
Answering a pilgrim caller Raghavendra from Kuppam, the EO said, “Mike sets will be provided to the bhajan mandirs which are doing extraordinary devotional services in their areas.” He appreciated the devotee for spending his weekly off in training the students in Govinda Nama and bhajans etc.
Tirumala JEO K.S. Sreenivasa Raju and other senior officers were also present.
