Posters in Delhi offer Rs 11 lakh for killing Kanhaiya Kumar
'Whoever shoots the traitor Kanhaiya will be rewarded Rs 11 lakh from the Poorvanchal Sena', the posters said.
New Delhi: JNUSU students’ union president Kanhaiya Kumar, who was released from judicial custody on interim bail in a sedition case, has a Rs 11 lakh reward for his head. Small posters have been put up in central Delhi offering Rs 11 lakh as cash prize to who ever shoots dead the student leader, according to a report in Indian Express.
The posters bore the name of Adarsh Sharma, who is the president of Poorvanchal Sena and were posted across Metro stations and bus stops in the national capital. Sharma claims that he has put up 1500 such posters, asking people to kill Kanhaiya.
“Whoever shoots JNUSU president and traitor Kanhaiya Kumar will be rewarded Rs 11 lakh from the Poorvanchal Sena,” read the posters in Hindi and are signed by Adrash Sharma along with his contact details.
Sharma expressed shock at Kanhaiya’s speech in which he attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and made certain statements that did not go down well with many. Sharma said that Kanhaiya had attacked ‘our motherland’ in his speech and that it was ‘unacceptable’.
This comes close on the heels of a BJP leader announcing a cash reward for anybody who would cut off Kanhaiya’s tongue.
A BJP Yuva Morcha leader offered Rs 5 lakh for the deed and was on Saturday expelled from the party for six years. The BJP distanced itself from the leader and his controversial act.
