Tamil Nadu students take exams head-on
Tight arrangements for board exams.
Vellore: As many as 42,748 students, including 20,000 boys, from the district’s
various schools this year took the plus-two examination from the
district’s 145 centers, which began on Friday.
The Vellore district collector Dr R.Nanthagopal said that the government had given permission to write the exams to 31 persons through their respective scribes. He also added that an additional one hour was granted to write the examinations to 39 students.
In Thiruppathur educational district, the collector said that 10 question paper control rooms and in the Vellore educational district 12 rooms had been arranged to keep the question papers and answer sheets. For the distribution of question papers and for collecting the answer sheets from the examinations halls, 37 route officers have been appointed.
To supervise the examinations, a total of 3,025 superintendents were appointed, A static flying-squad and flying squads headed by the middle-level educational director, chief educational officer, district educational officer would function on all the days of the examinations, said Dr Nanthagopal. The exams go on till the first week of April.
