Nellore: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) is planning to issue laddus in the darshan queue itself to prevent inconvenience to aged and physically challenged devotees who have to wait in line for the prasadam later after darshan, said TTD executive officer (EO) Dr D. Sambasiva Rao. He was responding to a devotee’s suggestion during the ‘Dial your EO’ programme, held at Annamaiah Bhavan at Tirumala, on Friday.

Responding to the devotee, Mr Yadagiri’s observation that the ghee-lit lamps appeared very dim inside the sanctum sanctorum, the EO assured that appropriate measures would be taken to improve illumination.

Mr Rao also told a caller from Madhya Pradesh who wanted facilities in the TTD-run Ayurvedic hospital in Tirupati to be enhanced that this would be reviewed with the hospital superintendent. Beds in the hospital will be allotted to patients according to need, he added.
