Bonda Uma Maheswara Rao challenges YSRC on graft

Vijayawada: Civil dispute regarding 90 scents land issue at Indira Nayaknagar Colony at Ajith Singhnagar had taken a new turn. Both groups have intensified their counter attacks and allegations against each other. Legislator Bonda Uma Maheswara Rao in a press conference challenged the opposition parties to prove the involvement of his family and TD leaders in the issue. He said that he had complained to urban MRO to probe into the issue and find the facts.
MLA Umamaheswara Rao said that the property was in civil dispute in court and opposition parties are trying to corner him with false allegations. Meanwhile, victims of land-grabbing at Indira Nagar Colony alleged that Chintapalli Samba Siva Rao, with the help of legislator Bonda Umamaheswara Rao is threatening them by sending ruling party corporators. The victims, in a press conference, said that they have threat from the followers of the legislator and requested the police for protection.
Kumaraswamy a victim said that revenue officials had came to the site without any intimation and tried to take the measurements of the site. He said that revenue officials had taken this with the guidelines of ruling party leaders. “Four corporators of the ruling party had asked us to withdraw our agitation as they will settle the issue,” he alleged. He said that they have met city police commissioner Gautam Sawang and complained about the whole issue and he responded positively.
Opposition parties have intensified their allegations on the ruling party leaders. YSR Congress is heading to raise the land issue of Indira Nayak Nagar in the coming Assembly session opposing the involvement of legislator Bonda Uma. “Telugu Desam leaders are trying to grab the lands of poor to encash on the capital boom. We won't leave this issue here. Our legislators will raise the issue in the coming Assembly session,”said Vangaveeti Radha Krishna, YSRC state secretary.
