Thalavai Sundaram is Tamil Nadu representative in Delhi

The post, equivalent to a state cabinet, minister was earlier represented by S. T. K. Jakkaiyan.

Chennai: The state government on Saturday appointed former minister Thalavai Sundaram as a government special representative in Delhi. The post, equivalent to a state cabinet, minister was earlier represented by S. T. K. Jakkaiyan. It may be noted that Sundaram had also been a state health minister and party strongman since 1996.

He was elected to the Tamil Nadu legislative Assembly as an AIADMK MLA from Kanyakumari constituency in 2001 election. Sundaram has also served as AIADMK Rajya Sabha member from April 1996 to May 2002 and has held state and district level key party posts. He is also a confidante of party deputy general secretary T. T. V. Dinakaran.
