Warangal to get Rs 5-meal scheme

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari said that by June 2, about 60,000 people in Warangal would receive the Rs 5 per meal facility.

Warangal: The state government has decided to bring the Rs 5 per meal scheme, currently being implemented by Ashayapatra foundation in Hyderabad, to Warangal. Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari said that by June 2, about 60,000 people in Warangal Urban district would receive the Rs 5 per meal facility.

He directed district officials to make arrangements for the implementation of the scheme in the district in during these three months left for the deadline. The Akshayapatra scheme had garnered support in Hyderabad, Siddipet and Mahbubnagar districts.
