Bengaluru: Man arrested for 2-wheeler theft

Based on credible information, the CCB police raided the spot and recovered the stolen two-wheelers.

Bengaluru: A 25-year-old man, who used to steal two wheelers from Rajajinagar and surrounding areas, was arrested and seven two-wheelers, worth Rs 2.5 lakh, were recovered by the CCB police on Saturday.

The accused has been identified as Shashikumar alias Shashi, a resident of Sri Chakra Nagar in Andrahalli.

According to the police, Shashi used to steal two-wheelers from Rajajinagar and surrounding areas and was trying to sell them near his residence in Sri Chakra Nagar.

Based on credible information, the CCB police raided the spot and recovered the stolen two-wheelers.

The police said he was earlier booked under a murder case in Jnanabharathi police station limits and robbery cases in Chandra Layout and Basaveshwarnagar police station limits, but did not attend the court session and was absconding.  A non-bailable warrant was issued by the court.
