Tenders finalised for Chengicherla rendering plant

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has finalised tenders for the Chengicherla rendering plant. After disqualifying tenders five times, the corporation managed to invite and finalise bids this time.  Two private firms - Anmol Trading and Manufacturing Company and Varsha Fresh Meat Products Ltd - participated in the bidding with the former bagging the project for Rs 1.51 crore. 

The GHMC would escalate the lease amount by 10 per cent every year for 10 years from the date of operation. The firm would have to pay Rs 3,56,05,010 in the 10th year.  The corporation had constructed Chengicherla rendering plant on 2.8 acres at a cost of Rs 191.79 crore. The corporation would hand over the plant after getting government approval.
