Dedicated workers will be recognised, says Pawan Kalyan
He said he was in favour of elections for student bodies to ensure leadership quality from the college level.
Nellore: Mr Pawan Kalyan said he would recognize every dedicated party worker, who could work for the party with or without monitoring.
Addressing partymen here on Monday, he said the party had received four applications from each constituency in Nellore district to contest in the Assembly elections. But the party could not give tickets to all the aspirants, he said.
“If leaders who cannot get tickets leave the party out of dejection, they should not think that they have betrayed me or the party, they have betrayed the people,” he pointed out.
They should remember that they promised while joining the party that they were not anticipating any post, Mr Kalyan said and clarified that he stayed in politics for the past one decade without any post because politics was his passion and serving people was his life’s aim.
If the party was voted to power, there would not be schemes like IndirammaIllu (houses) christened by Congress and Chandrannapathakam (scheme) by ruling Telugu Desam party, he said. The party would not encourage schemes with names like Pawan Kalyan Beema. The names of the schemes would be of great persons like Potti Sriramulu, who had sacrificed his life, he asserted.
Earlier, addressing the students of a dental college, Mr Pawan Kalyan said he would introduce a free canteen in all the colleges and take stern action against schools and colleges operating illegally.
He said he was in favour of elections for student bodies to ensure leadership quality from the college level.
Meanwhile a large number of youth turned up for his road show in Nellore City on Monday evening.
