Tirupati: Brahmotsavams to be a cynosure

The JEO also directed the concerned officials to set up TTD publication centres.

Tirupati: TTD JEO for Tirupati, B. Lakshmikantham directed the concerned officials to make elaborate arrangements for the annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Govindaraja Swamy temple, located in the heart of the temple city of Tirupati, which was scheduled to be conducted from May 11 to 19 in a grand manner.

Speaking during a review meeting held at TTD administrative building on Saturday, the JEO said  Dwajarohanam for the fete will be observed on May 11, Garuda vahanam on May 15, Rathotsavam on May 18, and Chakra snanam on May 19.

He asked officials to publicise the event in and around Tirupati and also speed up preparations and ensure traffic-free environment during Vahana sevas.

The JEO instructed officials to organise flower and electrical decorations in an attractive manner and deploy adequate number of Srivari Sevakulu for supply of Anna Prasadam, buttermilk, water and to maintain queue.

He asked cultural wings of HDPP, Dasa Sahitya project and Annamacharya project artists to conduct Bhakti sangeet, kolatams and hari katha, besides telecast by the SVBC.

The JEO also directed the concerned officials to set up TTD publication centres, primary health centres and ayurveda medical camps in the temple premises.

TTD deputy EOs Varalakshmi, Jhansi Rani, SEs Venkateswarlu ans Ramulu ,HDPP Secretary Dr Ramana Prasad , VSO Ashok Kumar Goud and others participated.
