4-year-old boy electrocuted in Hyderabad
Due to the night' gales, the electric cable supplying power to their home broke and was hanging loose.
Hyderabad: A four-year-old boy was electrocuted in Ranga Reddy district on Saturday morning.
The boy, Shashidhar, was playing in front of his house when he stepped on a loose electric cable on the ground which had fallen from a pole in Friday night’s gales.
Villagers said Shashidhar was the only son of farmer K. Ramulu and Laxmi, residents of Bachupally village in Doma mandal. The couple has three elder daughters and Shashidhar was the youngest child.
Due to Friday night’s gales, there was no power supply in the village from 10 pm till late into the night. Due to the night’ gales, the electric cable supplying power to their home broke and was hanging loose.
On Saturday mmorning at around 7.30 am, while the couple and their two daughters were busy inside, Shashidhar came out to play. He accidentally stepped on the J wire, suffered an electric shock and died on the spot.
No case was registered against electricity officials in the local police station.
