Suresh Prabhu worships the Lord Venkateswara
The Union minister was accorded a grand reception by the TTD chairman.
Tirupati: Union minister for railways Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu offered prayers in the world renowned Hindu shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Saturday morning. On their arrival, the Union minister was accorded a grand reception by the TTD chairman, Dr Ch. Krishna Murthy, the TTD EO, Dr D. Sambasiva Rao, JEO Pola Bhaskar and temple priests, who escorted him to the sanctum sanctorum.
Inside the temple, the priests explained to the minister about the significance of Lord and the jewels adorned to the presiding deity. Mr Suresh Prabhu spent few minutes praying before the presiding deity of Lord Venkateswara and later reached Rangana-yakula Mandapam whe-re he was accorded Veda-sirvachanam by priests. TTD chairman has offered Lord's silk vastram, prasadams of Lord Venkateswara to the minister. Mr Suresh Prabhu also had darshan of Goddess Padmavathi in Sri Padmavathi Ammavari temple at Tiruch-anoor on Saturday.
After darshan of the Goddess, the TTD chairman presented Ammavari Prasadam. AP Health Minister K. Srinivas Rao, TTD Trust Board member G. Bhanuprakash Reddy, deputy EOs Rama Rao, OSD Lakshminarayana Yadav, the TTD public relations officer, Dr T. Ravi, and others were present.
