No NOTA for presidential election

Hyderabad: There will be no NOTA (none of the above) option in the ballot paper in the next Presidential election. This was disclosed to the Assistant Returning Officers at a workshop organised by the Election Commission in Delhi recently. Earlier, a Supreme Court directive in 2013 had made NOTA a mandatory option for all polls.

The EC is responsible for conducting elections for Members of Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, Assembly and Legislative Council.
