Mandal-wise plan has been prepared to receive the claims from depositors till August 18.
Tirupati: The third phase of receiving claims from AgriGold victims, who deposited their money below Rs 10,000, began in Chittoor district.
Senior judge and District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) secretary A. Naga Sailaja on Tuesday said that a mandal-wise plan has been prepared to receive the claims from depositors till August 18.
Speaking to mediapersons, the DLSA secretary said that claims of AgriGold victims, with deposits below Rs 10,000, were received in two phases earlier and still there are depositors who have to seek claims.
“As per the directives of the High Court, we prepared a plan to receive the claims under the third phase,” the DLSA secretary said.
“So far, 8,000 claims have been received in the district. Nearly 6,000 claims were sent to the department concerned for clearance, while the remaining is being processed. Now, those seeking claims should submit their applications at the DLSA office located at the district court in Chittoor,” she said.
“The depositors are requested to submit deposit bond, receipts, copies of bank passbook and Aadhaar card. Those who cannot come to DLSA office personally can submit an authorisation letter along with the documents,” she said.
