Andhra Pradesh government accepts Consortium proposals
The AP government has authorised the CRDA commissioner to invite counter-proposals under the Swiss Challenge method.
Hyderabad: The AP government has approved the Swiss Challenge proposals submitted by the Singapore Consortium comprising Ascendas, Singbridge and Sembcorp for development of the start-up area of the Amaravati capital city.

The CRDA commissioner has been directed to obtain legal opinion on compliance with AP Infrastructure Development Enabling Act, 2001 and the Supreme Court judgement during the bid process. The AP government issued orders (GO MS no 170) to this effect on Monday.
The AP government also decided to make budgetary provision of Rs 5,500 crore to the Capital City Development and Management Corporation to provide external infrastructure within the time limit (18 months).
The order say that AP Infrastructure Authority in its meeting held on June 22, 2016, has resolved that the scale of the project in terms of development as reported by CRDA and the evaluation of the same is noted to be in line with the requirements of the state and the proposal of Singapore Consortium will enable world-class development in the capital region.
