GST biggest economic revolution: Tamilisai Soundararajan
Several Chief Ministers have hailed GST implementation.
Chennai: Despite the qualms expressed by certain sections in the society, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) has started accruing benefits. This new tax regime will be the biggest economic revolution in the future, BJP state president Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan has claimed.
Already, it showed signs of impacting positive growth and nearly 20 States have done away with check posts, she maintained and said that several Chief Ministers have hailed the GST. Speaking at the three years’ achievements of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre, on Tuesday, she expressed the hope that the Centre would consider the demands of those who are opposed to 28 per cent GST and accordingly take a favourable decision.
“The GST is meant to bring down the taxes and burden the people of the people as well. It is not an exercise to enhance taxes. In future, GST will be a biggest economic revolution,” Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan said.
