Warangal fire: Everything gutted beyond recognition

Warangal: An explosion in a fireworks factory that did not abide by the rules caused the death of eight workers and severely injured five others on Wednesday morning.

Two fire tenders managed to douse the fire but everything was gutted beyond recognition by then. The police and rescue teams removed the bodies from the debris. Relatives of the workers arrived at the spot and were inconsolable.

The victims were identified as Balne Raghupathi 40, Gajula Harikrishna 36, Komati Sravani 33, Bethi Srivani 25, Baspula Renuka 47, Kandakatla Sridevi 34, Rangu Vinod 25 and Valdasu Ashok 30. The injured are Kondapally Suresh 25, Bandela Sarangapani 45, Parikela Mohan 27, Bethi Ravi 28 and Salendra Shiva 30.
