Telangana man's body stuck in Oman

As Sattaiah was an illegal resident in Oman, it will be difficult to bring his body to India.

Hyderabad: Palamakula Kanakamma, from Karimnagar district, along with her three kids, has been waiting for her husband, Sattaiah, for the past 14 years as he was stranded in the Sultanate of Oman. Her hopes to see him faded after the news of his death reached her two days ago.

As Sattaiah was an illegal resident in Oman, it will be difficult to bring his body to India. Telangana Gulf Workers’ Association president Nangi Devender Reddy has written to the Indian embassy in Oman and the external affairs ministry to despatch the body to India at the earliest.  Sattaiah is reported to have breathed his last on July 31 due to ill health.

The Telangana wing of the Indian Social Club in Oman is also processing the documents for an early deportation of the body. Sattaiah is reported to have breathed his last on July 31 due to ill health.
