Hyderabad: Bus service to ancient Ramappa Temple begins
The bus services to the temple will be available on Sundays and holidays.
Warangal: The TSRTC on Sunday ran its special bus to the historic Ramappa Temple on Sunday. Even though the 800-year-old temple in Palampet of Mulugu district attracts thousands of tourists, there was no direct bus from Warangal.
The bus services to the temple will be available on Sundays and holidays. The bus made its first trip to Ramappa on Sunday and the villagers, along with the sarpanch, welcomed the bus.
The bus will start its journey from Hanamkonda at 8:30 am and reach Ramappa at 10:10 am. The return journey will begin at 3:40 pm and will reach Hanamkonda by around 5:20 pm.
The fare for adults is Rs 65 and for children Rs 35.
Earlier, village sarpanch Doli Rajitha had written to the Regional Transport Corporation (RTC) regional manager to look into the issue and start the bus service.
Rajitha thanked the RTC officials for addressing the issue. Venkatapura SI B Narahari, vice sarpanch M Jayashankar, TRS leaders M Ratnakar, A Ram Mohan Rao, among others, were present on this occasion.
