Nadeem Ahmad takes over as APUA chief
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy CM said education is the best means for self and community development
Vijayawada: H. Nadeem Ahmad has taken over as new chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Urdu Academy (APUA) in presence of Deputy Chief Minister Amzath Basha, endowments minister Vellampalli Srinivas Rao, AP Minorities Corporation chairman Sk. Asif, Kadiri MLA Siddha Reddy and MLCs Md. Karimunnisa and V Rajagopal Reddy.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy CM said education is the best means for self and community development. He expressed confidence that under the guidance of its new chairman, AP Urdu Academy will work towards providing best education in Urdu medium.
Amzath Basha eulogised Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for giving top priority to development of suppressed communities including minorities. He pointed out that the CM has recently nominated 12 minority leaders as chairpersons of various corporations.
The new APUA chief described Jagan Mohan Reddy as the only Chief Minister in the country who is following principles of B. R. Ambedkar and Jyothi Rao Phule in providing social justice to SCs, STs, BCs, minorities and other suppressed communities.
Nadeem Ahmad stated that AP Urdu Academy will work towards popularising Urdu among younger generations and develop it as a world-class language in true spirit.
