TSRTC merger Bill: RTC employees stage protest rally
Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) employees have organized a protest rally in Hyderabad on Saturday, demanding governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan clear the the TSRTC merger Bill. The rally was taken out from Tankbund Indra Gandhi statue to Raj Bhavan. Over 3000 employees participated in the rally.
Governor Tamilisai Soundarajan has sought clarification from the government on certain aspects of the proposed merger of TSRTC with the state government. The Governor who is currently in Puducherry has invited leaders of TSRTC for a discussion through video conference.
"I am pained to know about the strike conducted by RTC employees creating inconvenience to common public...I want to convey that I am always with them even during the previous strike I was with them ..now also I am studying it carefully because their rights should be safeguarded", the Governor tweeted, responding to the RTC employees protest.
