Hyderabad: Ayush clinics lack eye doctors
Doctors are never available during the monsoon season when diseases are at an all-time high.
Hyderabad: Eight hundred and twenty plus Ayush clinics do not have any doctor and have remained vacant for a long time since the government is using them for the Kanti Velugu scheme or universal eye screening programme.
The people who visit these Ayush clinics in Warangal, Karimnagar, Mahabubnagar and Ranga Reddy districts have expressed displeasure since the doctors are never available during the monsoon season when diseases are at an all-time high. Dr Mallu Prasad, member of Central Council of Indian Medicine and Ayush doctor explained, “Ayush services in districts and in the periphery areas of Ranga Reddy have been greatly affected as all the doctors have been deputed for the government scheme.”
“How will the Ayush doctors be of any use as they are only found to be collecting data and guiding the people at the centre,” he questioned.
