Hyderabad: Teachers hold mass protest

The teachers carried out a rally across the city roads which affected the traffic flow.

Hyderabad: Around 3,000 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) and URS Teachers and Employees held a massive protest at Directorate of School Education office on Tuesday for the redressal of their demands. The teachers demand Regularisation of their jobs, job security, equal wage for equal work, leaves on par with regular employees and health cards. 

The teachers carried out a rally across the city roads which affected the traffic flow. 

About 3,000 teachers and URS employees were detained and were kept in 10 different police stations and were released at 5:30pm on Tuesday evening. Teachers decided not to celebrated Teachers day in KGBVs tomorrow and will conduct protest by wearing black badges.
