Hyderabad: Court convicts 1 for attacking RTC bus driver

The court directed the accused to undergo two years of rigorous imprisonment, while his two siblings were convicted in the same case three months ago.

Hyderabad: A man from the city who assaulted an RTC bus driver and conductor for asking that he move his car which was obstructing the road was convicted by a court on Wednesday. The court directed the accused to undergo two years of rigorous imprisonment, while his two siblings were convicted in the same case three months ago.

According to Rachakonda police, Mohd Haneef (28), a resident of Saroornagar along with his brothers Mohd Aziz Ahmed (37) and Mohd Ibrahim (26) had assaulted and injured RTC bus driver P. Krishna and conductor K. Venkatesh, on May 31 2016, for asking that he move their car ahead because it was obstructing the path of the bus at Karmanghat X roads.

Aziz and Ibrahim were arrested and the case was charge-sheeted by the Saroornagar police and the Sixth Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Court at LB Nagar convicted the duo during May this year.
