HYDERABAD: Three years after it was planned, the Kishanbagh Amusement Park will be opened to the public next month. However, officials have no clarity on the amphitheatre, food court and a 100-feet edifice planned at the park in 2014.

The park, spread over 4.5 acres of land, is being developed at a cost of Rs 5 crore with an amphitheatre, walk ways and picnic spots.

“Works on fountains, greenery and walkways are yet to be completed. For the time being, there is no clarity on the amphitheatre,” said Mr Mohammed Saleem, Kishanbagh corporator.

The GHMC expects the works to be completed by the end of the year. The park will serve as a lung space to the residents of Sulaiman Nagar, M.M. Pahadi, Najamnagar, Sikh Chawni, Kishan-bagh, Asadbabanagar and Attapur.

“The works are going on war-footing. By next month, we will open it for the public,” said Mr Srinivas Reddy GHMC commissioner (south). He added that there is no clarity on facilities like amphitheatre, food court and a 100-feet tower.

The Setwin Park near Mir Alam Tanks is getting ready and also will be opened next month, local GHMC officials said.
