KCR visit gives TRS cadre a morale boost
The TRS high command named all the nine sitting MLAs in the composite district as the party's candidates for the Assembly elections.
Nizamabad: TRS founder-president and caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s visit to the Nizamabad has boosted the morale of the TRS cadre in undivided Nizamabad district.
As part of series of election campaign meetings, Mr Rao visited Nizamabad and addressed a public meeting at the Government Giriraj College grounds on Wednesday.
The TRS high command named all the nine sitting MLAs in the composite district as the party’s candidates for the Assembly elections.
On the other hand, Opposition parties—Congress, Telugu Desam and BJP have not yet finalised their candidates for Assembly segments.
TRS nominees have intensified the election campaign in villages and towns to attract the voters. Mr Rao was first state-level leader to visit Nizamabad district for election campaign. Prior to reaching the district, the TRS supremo reviewed the political situation in the district.
It is noted that Mr Rao wowed TRS activists from Kamareddy Assembly constituency in the public meeting. Earlier, TPCC working president A. Revanth Reddy along with Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Mohammad Ali Shabbir addressed road shows in Kamareddy district and targeted Mr Rao.
In view of this, Mr Rao specifically highlighted the enthusiasm of activists from Kamareddy to beat Congress nominee.
The TRS chief also mentioned the services of Yellareddy MLA Enugu Ravinder Reddy in the then Andhra Pradesh Assembly for protection of Telangana rights.
The then Congress Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy did not give a single rupee for Telangana region in the House, but Ravinder Reddy alone from Nizamabad district dared to quit his MLA post, Mr Rao said.
He also praised Agriculture minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy for introducing innovative programmes for the farming community.
