Social media activist of YSRC arrested

Vijayawada: A social media activist associated with the YSR Congress was arrested for posting objectionable matter against Pamarru MLA Uppuleti Kalpana.

According to reports, G. Naga Babu reportedly put up posts against Ms Kalpana on Facebook and other social media platforms, alleging corruption in Pamarru constituency by TD leaders and the local MLA.

Recently, Naga Babu shared a post on social media after the killing of Araku MLA K. Sarveswara Rao and former legislator Siveri Soma asking Maoists to concentrate on corrupt legislators of Amaravati region.

DSP M. Mahesh said that Ms Kalpana lodged a complaint, following which Naga Babu was arrested under SC/ST Atrocity (Prevention) Act.
