Amarnath hoped that India\'s space economy will be 10 per cent of the world in the coming decade
Visakhapatnam: IT and industries minister Gudivada Amarnath on Thursday emphasised that scientific and technological progresses made across the globe have changed the course of the world.
Inaugurating the World Space Week-2023 programme organised by Shar-ISRO and Raghu educational institutions at the Raghu Engineering College, he said ISRO and Shar are a source of pride for the country. Their latest achievement is the success of Chandrayaan, which has made the world sit up and look at India.
The minister hoped that India's space economy will be 10 per cent of the world in the coming decade. He encouraged students to ask questions. “Every question that arises in the mind of a student is the beginning of a new answer and discovery,” he remarked.
Amarnath also attended a two-day Empowering Women Entrepreneurs workshop organised in Vizag by the Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society in collaboration with Niti Aayog, STPI Visakhapatnam, NASSCOM CoEIoT and Startup India on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, he praised the initiative of AP Innovation Society in fostering inclusivity, which leads to empowerment of women.
The minister expressed his gratitude to government officials, delegates, investors, and venture capitalists for supporting women-led start-ups. He asked women entrepreneurs to dream big and turn the architects of change.
