Congress reviews Rahul Gandhi's tour of Warangal

N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said Mr Gandhi has tentatively agreed to attend the meeting.

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leaders on Saturday reviewed the arrangements for the tour of AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi on November 20 in Warangal where a massive public meeting will be organised. TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said Mr Gandhi has tentatively agreed to attend the meeting and final confirmation would be known within next few days.

The leaders at Saturday’s meeting decided to take up agitational programmes against demonetisation by organising rallies and dharnas across the state. PCC general secretary Dasoju Sravan who briefed the media after the meeting said as per the AICC directions, protests will be organised against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision by observing it a black day.

The meeting was attended by TS party incharge R.C. Kunthia, Leader of Opposition K. Jana Reddy and Shabbir Ali (Council), PCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, former PCC chief V. Hanumantha Rao and former Union ministers Balaram Naik and Sarve Satyanarayana. The party decided to focus involve the common man in every protest to expose how the Centre’s decision on demonetisation had affected small traders and the people.
