Kannada film actor held with illegal weapon

According to the police Jagadish has acted in lead role in a Kannda film Sarkar.

Bengaluru: A Kannada film actor, along with four others, were arrested by the sleuths of Central Crime Branch and two countrymade pistols and 21 rounds of live amunition was recovered from them.

The accused have been identified as Mohammed Nizam, (25), a resident of Islampura in HAL , Jagadisha S. Hosmat from Ganeshpet, Hubballi, B.G. Satish Kumar, (44) from New Thippasandra and Syed SAmeer Ahmed, (32) from Kothanur.

According to the police Jagadish has acted in lead role in a Kannda film Sarkar.

Based on a tip off that Nizam was involved in illegal arms trade, a team of police raided his house. He confessed that he had sold the weapon to Jagadish.

The police later arrested Jagadish and recovered the pistol and 10 rounds of ammunition from him. Further investigations led to the arrest of Satish and Sameer and recovery of a pistol and 11 rounds of live cartidges from them.

The police have booked the accused under arms act and are investigating further to track the illegal arms network.
