Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj minister E. Dayakar Rao on Monday said the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation will not recover from the losses it has incurred and it will not be possible to run it any longer.

Speaking to reporters, he felt that the only way RTC problems could be resolved and a semblance of order be restored would be in privatisation of 50 per cent of existing bus routes.

The minister reiterated that the government was not against RTC workers but only opposed to the behaviour of the union leaders. He said that the government would shortly announce its decisions on the issue.

Meanwhile, Mr Dayakar Rao exuded confidence about winning a majority of municipalities and municipal corporations in the ensuing elections.

He said the polls in undivided Warangal district would be one-sided.
