Adilabad: Not only political parties but also civil society groups like ‘Telangana State Democratic Forum’ (TSDF) and ‘Jago Telangana’ have also intensified their awareness campaign among the public about the major political parties and their policies ahead of the Assembly elections in the state.
The members of TSDF were sensitising the voters by interacting with motorists, pedestrians, elderly people, women, the unemployed, vendors, hawkers and walkers at public places by distributing pamphlets, apart from conducting awareness meetings.
Armed with a team of cultural and folk artistes, the forums and societies were trying to expose the false promises of political parties and the importance of voting irrespective of caste creed and religion without inducements, with their songs and dramas.
