Hyderabad: The plants and animal-shaped-pots that were part of the beautification of the city for the recently concluded Global Entrepreneurship Summit hardly looked like they would be the target of a felony. But as many as 48 pots were stolen over the weekend in the Cyberabad area.

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation installed about 500 such pots along several kilometres in an attempt to prettify the city for the GES, but three days after the conference, thieves have stolen the pots.

The pots were installed along Hitex road, Shilparamam, Kothuguda, Gachibowli etc and cost about Rs 6000 each, as they were custom-made. They were made of lightweight fibre with an iron frame inside, about four feet high and weighing 9-10 kg.
