Grow moustache, Revanth Reddy dares K Chandrasekhar Rao
Mr Chandrasekhar Rao tried to buy people of Kodangal with Rs 200 crore, but his dream did not come true, Revanth Reddy said.
Hyderabad: Congress working president Revanth Reddy on Tuesday lashed out at TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao after he was released in evening from police detention. He challenged the trio — Mr Chandrasekhar Rao, Mr K.T. Rama Rao and Mr T. Harish Rao — for a faceoff and dared them to grow moustache.
“Mr Chandrasekhar Rao tried to buy people of Kodangal with Rs 200 crore, but his dream did not come true. So he is following illegal practices to win the elections. He is using the police and returning officers to attack mandal-level leaders of the Congress. He is misusing the administration to distribute money and liquor. Caretaker minister T. Harish Rao stayed in Kodangal for two days and transported the money in police vehicles under police protection. Instead of winning the people's trust, Mr Chandrasekhar Rao is trying to threaten and attack me. By dissolving the Assembly for an early election, he has attempted a political suicide.”
He added, “Telangana state DGP Mahender Reddy and DIG (intelligence) Prabhakar Rao have deployed around 2,000 police in mufti to threaten the people of Kodangal and are distributing Rs 5,000 per voter.”
