Hyderabad: Realtor cheats job seekers, held

Hyderabad: A 67-old realtor from Banjara Hills was arrested by the Central Crime Station sleuths for cheating job aspirants under the pretext of providing government jobs in various departments.

According to the detective department DCP Avinash Mohanty, about two years ago, one B. Venkat Rao of Allapdu in Khammam district and 14 others, who came in contact with P. Durga Prasad Rao, a realtor and his wife P. Padmini, paid about '1 crore to the couple in the form of cash and cheques as they had promised they would help the aspirants get state and central government jobs in Indian Railways and Telangana police department.
“For railway recruitment, the couple took them to Rail Nilayam in Secunderabad and conducted tests at Railway hospital in Lallaguda. There are 12 cases against Durga Prasad in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh,” said DCP Mr Mohanthy.
