Hyderabad: Trouble is brewing for TRS candidate in Malkajgiri, Mynampally Hanumanth Rao. The residents of Venkateswara Colony, Alwal, have filed a suit in the L.B. Nagar court in an alleged land-grabbing case in which the TRS man has been named as a respondent. The petitioner is requesting the court to direct illegal occupants to evict a park land.

A prime piece of land located in space adjacent to Plot No. 13, Survey No. 182 at Golnaka Alwal was supposed to contain a park but in reality, there is no park. A five-floor building has been constructed in place of the park land. A police complaint was filed against the missing park land, following which the residents of Sri Venkateswara Colony Residents Welfare Association filed a suit, a copy of which is with this newspaper.

Mr. G. V Rao, executive secretary of the association said, “After the police complaint, the association pursued the case with GHMC Commissioner and Alwal circle Deputy Commissioner and politician Mynampally Hanumanth Rao. In a meeting held at Ashoka A-la-manison, Kompally village, Mynampally Hanumanth Rao admitted that it was by mistake that his name was entered in the records as the owner and he had nothing to do with it.”
