The CPM will also constitute a committee to inquire into the allegations levelled by Anil kumar in a suicide note signed in his own blood.
Kalpetta: The CPM Mananthavadi area committee has acted tough against party leader P. Vasu in connection with the suicide of another party member Anilk-umar, 47, of Shalini Nivas, an employee of Cooperative Bank, Thavinjal, on Saturday.
The committee, at a meeting held here on Tuesday, decided to remove Vasu, area committee member, from all party positions except the primary membership and asked him to resign as president of the Cooperative Bank and director of the governing body.
The CPM will also constitute a committee to inquire into the allegations levelled by Anilkumar in a suicide note signed in his own blood.
Anilkumar had written seven letters pointing out the financial irregularities he was forced to commit by Vasu, which left him in debt as he had to repay Rs 12 lakh after the fraud was exposed.
The letters were recovered by the police on Sunday from the home of Anilkumar at Thavinjal and submitted to the magistrate court, Mananthavadi. The letters were addressed to CPM Thalappuzha local committee secretary, secretary of the cooperative bank and other employees of the bank. The suicide note said that the letters were signed in his own blood to prove their genuineness.
