PM Narendra Modi distorts TS movement, says CPI leader
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was saying that only because of Patel, the liberation of Telangana took place.
Hyderabad: CPI national General Secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy alleged that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is distorting the history and misleading the people about the Telangana liberation moment.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, he said that the role of Sardar Vallabhai Patel should be recognised but at the same time, the role of Communists should also be recognised.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was saying that only because of Patel, the liberation of Telangana took place. He pointed out that the Communists were in the forefront, fighting with Razakars. He said that the centre had sent central forces thinking that all the credit went to Communists. In fact, he said that except the Rashtriya Sawayamsevak Sangh (RSS), all the people of Telangana opposed Nizam rule.
