SP Jayasankar to probe case against Jacob Thomas

Thiruvananthapuram: The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) southern-range headed by SP R. Jayasankar has been entrusted with the probe against former Vigilance director Jacob Thomas.

The state government had recently ordered a Vigilance investigation into the alleged irregularities in the purchase of cutter suction dredger for the ports department while Jacob Thomas was serving as ports director during 2011-12.

VACB sources said that a decision on registering a case would be taken after a preliminary investigation.
