Telangana and AP Governor offers prayers to Goddess Padmavathi
The Governor, who was on a two-day visit to Tirupati, earlier reached Renigunta Airport in the evening.
Tirupati: Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, along with his wife Vimala Narasimhan, had the darshan of Goddess Padmavathi Ammavaru in Tiruchanoor on Tuesday evening.
The Governor, who was on a two-day visit to Tirupati, earlier reached Renigunta Airport in the evening. He was accorded a warm welcome by district collector P.S. Pradyumna at the airport. The Governor then reached Padmavathi Guest House in Tirupati.
Later in the evening, on his arrival at the temple in Tiruchanoor, TTD Joint Executive Officer Pola Bhaskar and the temple priests welcomed him with ‘Isthikaphal’, the temple honours. After the darshan of Goddess Padmavathi Ammavaru, the Governor was honoured with ‘Seshavastram’ and was presented with ‘Prasad’ of the Goddess by TTD JEO. The Governor also took part in the rituals performed to the Goddess and he carried the processional deity, adorned on a golden palanquin, inside the temple.
The Governor then reached Padmavathi Rest House in Tirumala and will have the darshan of Lord Venkateswara on Wednesday morning.
District collector P.S. Pradyumna, Dy EO Jhansi Rani, temple priests and other officials were present.
