Tamil Nadu to get 10 more district courts

Government in a GO (Ms). No.964, home department (courts-II), dated December 28, 2015, has ordered constitution of 10 courts.

Chennai: The state government has ordered the establishment of 10 additional district courts (fast track courts) in the state. In a release, registrar general of Madras high court has stated that the government in a GO (Ms). No.964, home department (courts-II), dated December 28, 2015, has ordered constitution of 10 courts. An additional district court would be set up each in Theni, Paramakudi, Arani, Nagercoil, Villupuram, Palani, Mettur, Kumbakonam, Vellore and Kancheepuram districts.

The RG has also transferred S. Meenakumari, district judge, functioning as chairman,  permanent Lok Adalat, Kancheepuram at Chengalpattu, has been transferred and posted as additional district  judge for fast track court, at the newly constituted court, Kancheepuram.
