Hyderabad: There is an increase in sharing cab rides in the Cyberabad area. Initially, people were apprehensive about sharing cab rides due to security reasons.

According to a recent report by cab aggregator Uber, the second highest Uberpool rides in the country was witnessed in Hyderabad on New Year eve. Furthermore, the most popular drop off location was Madhapur in Hyderabad.  Mr Prateek Gupta from Madhapur said, “I have often preferred sharing rides as they are pocket-friendly. Even female colleagues now prefer to share a ride in a cab, which is certainly a good sign as the CO2 emissions will be reduced and fuel will be saved.”

Companies are assuring parking spaces for employees who car-pool. A software employee from Deloitte said, “Getting parking is a Herculean task. But when employees are carpooling, we are assured of a parking space. We also have parking space for people who commute on bicycles.”
